Where to Access Lake Ontario (Monroe and Wayne counties)
Ontario Beach Park - Located on the shores of Lake Ontario in the city of Rochester - boat launch located off Ferry Street.
Mendon Ponds Park - The largest park in Monroe County features a boat launch and numerous shelters available for rental.
Wetlands Park - Located on the north side of Ellison Park, offers good access for kayaks and canoes.
Sodus Point Beach Park - Features sand beach with playground and boat launch. The park is located on Wickham Boulevard in Sodus Point.
Other locations - There are numerous places in both Monroe and Wayne counties with access to Lake Ontario. Each site has specific rules, amenities and pricing structures. Contact the individual location for more information.
